Knowledge of nurses toward drugs administration at public hospitals in Sana'a city-Yemen

Background: Patient safety is a priority for health care organizations worldwide. Nurses need to recognize the challenges they face when administering medications their patients. This study aimed assess nurses' knowledge toward drug administration. Setting: was conducted in different departments Public Hospitals Sana'a City-Yemen. Methodology: descriptive, cross-section study, conducting hospitals The covering sample of (95) nurses hospital according population. Tool: Structure interview schedule: (interview questionnaire sheet) A modified version routine drugs administration questionnaire. Results: Out 95 participants, most participants were worked labor room department (45.3%), 60.0% aged between 25 less than 35years. Therefore, 64.2% married and 83.2% had 3-year nursing diploma. Most (49.5%) 5 10 years working experience as nurses. Above half (57.9%) attended training courses on 56.8% written guidelines regarding 16.8% good level knowledge, while (64.2%) them fair 18.9% poor Conclusion: In our shows overall about level. Recommendation: be encouraged translate into practice staff members should motivated develop careers by studying further gaining more skills field.
